Bagel for Two

Bagel with cherry tomatoes, pickled onion, dill, and Spring Onion + Chive cream cheese spread.

  • 2 bagels
  • 3 oz Modern Kitchen Spring Onion + Chive cream cheese spread
  • 20 cherry tomatoes, washed and sliced in half
  • 4 sprigs fresh dill
  • Arugula flowers (optional)
  • For the pickled red onions:
    • 1 medium red onion peeled and thinly sliced
    • 1 cup water
    • ½ cup white wine or rice vinegar
    • 1 ½ teaspoon sea salt
    • 1 tablespoon sugar


  1. Slice red onions thinly, place in a small bowl, and set aside. 
  2. Combine water, vinegar, salt, and sugar in a saucepan. Heat on medium and stir until the salt and sugar dissolve. 
  3. Pour vinegar mixture over the sliced onions. Let sit for 1 hour stirring occasionally. 
  4. Slice bagels in half and toast. 
  5. Spread each bagel with about 1 ½ tablespoon of Modern Kitchen Spring Onion + Chive cream cheese spread.
  6. Top with tomatoes, pickled onions, dill, and arugula flowers.
